The DGI Tourism Professional and Training Plan

Who is the DGI Tourism VET Professional?

The DGI Tourism VET Professional is adaptable to the evolving needs of the tourism sector and is grounded on the principles of sustainability. They are envisioned to be at the forefront of promoting and leading a more responsible workforce toward a more sustainable tourism sector. 

Led by the leading VET institutions Enaip Lombardia (Italy) and Berufsschule für Handel und Reisen (Austria), the project result provides the following:

 

  • Profile and learning competencies of the DGI Tourism Professional
  • European Qualifications Framework (EQF) level and European Credit System for Vocational Education and Training (ECVET) points 
  • DGI Tourism training curriculum 
  • Transferability potential

The outcomes of the project result involved two primary tasks:

Task 1: ECVET Profile Development

Task 2: Training Plan Development

These results set the stage for developing the DGI Tourism Training Courses (Project Result 3).
